  • Thank you, thank you!  For whatever reason last week was a horribly emotional, mentally draining week.  I was feeling sorry for myself but, at the same time, I wondered why my closest family members were absent.  My perception could've been clouded (was) by the time from the day of surgery when everyone was concerned to  2, 3 or now 9 weeks later everyone has moved on---AS THEY SHOULD.  The universe does not revolve around me and my recovery.  I was hoping some family members would have stepped up to gather together for Easter.  All family gatherings default to me so, since I can't possibly do it, nothing is being done.  There are so many worse things in life to complain about.  That's why I feel I'm being so shallow.

I've stopped elaborating on my pain/issues when asked because I'm so tired of talking about them; they're in my head 24/7 and, this is only my perception--do they really want to hear about it?  Broken record comes to mind....

On a good note!  Today we went to watch our grandson play lacrosse and the weather was perfect--Blue Bird skies and warm sunshine. It was exactly what I needed.  A total reboot.

    Love and healing to all---
