Si Joint Fusion - Young Atheltic Candidate

Hi All,

I am having trouble finding any other cases of High Performance Athletes who have had an SI joint Fusion and returned to running/ full life activities following the procedure. I am 29 years old and I was in a major car crash and over past year have completed PT, Injections Ablation and all doctors agree that the SI joint is the pain generator. Final recommendation is to do the SI joint fusion on the injured side. Would love to hear from anyone similar, also trying to get a better grasp on the recovery process, how much work I would need to take off/ how much help I will need.

Any info is greatly appreciated.
