Hey all,

My Doc put me on Lyrica 150 last Monday after I began to have increased leg pain due to my herniated (and fractured) L5-S1. he also put me on a steroid pack (which ended today). I had instant relief, I was able to sleep in bed (after sleeping on the floor for 3 days) and almost sleep through the night..and that has continued..until this Friday night. The pain is now back and constant.

Has anyone had this experience?

  • :) it sounds like your steroid pack worked temporarily and it has nothing to do with your Lyrica. Jenny :)
  • I took two lyrica on Monday night when he prescribed it and didn't start the steroids until Tuesday morning. But it could also be that I took Oxy that night which I was doing without until that night. So it could be a combo. I am out of Lyrica (sample) tomorrow..waiting for the mail order to send the meds (pain in the ass) so I will see what happens.

  • :) Lyrica is something you have to take on a regular basis for it to work most effectively.. it takes awhile to get the correct dose into your system, usually your body will have to adjust to each dose change. try and stick with the medication despite any side effects you might have. it will be worth it. the medication has made a big change in my sciatica pain. i am on 300mg a day. it took alittle over a month to get to the correct dosage. talk to your doctor about this! good luck! Jenny :)
  • hi yes taking lyrica and also like lulusheart has just told you, takes a month to work . Then you feel the benefits it's amazing for me personally. I take 125mg a day and it works for me . zolenniaq =D> :H :)
