Seeing NS next week

Hi, well the appointment with the NS is for 1st Oct and I cannot wait. MRI shows osteophyte at C5/6 displacing cord to left and impinging on the left neural foramina.
My symptoms were initially contributed to a fall on 5th Nov 2007 when my dog knocked me down a flight of concrete stairs. Have not worked since then and rather than getting better have progressivly got worse. Sever sciatica has now become a daily toil.
I cannot wait to see the NS and cannot wait to be offered surgery. I have read all the posts avidly both here and over on the previous forum. However have concentrated more on the cronic pain aspect, only now settling to look more realisticaly at what surgical intervention will be like in terms of pain and recovery time. Oh dear I am afraid I cannot wait.
I have reached the stage where I feel I am at the last resort and that surgery is the only way forward for me and I can only hope it is offered in the near future.

  • I'm sorry to hear you have been suffering so long. I hope your doctor is able to help. Good luck and God Bless!
