Hello everyone :H .

I am wondering, do you guys feel tired a lot? I am wondering because I am tired all the time!!!! I do take meds that could be making me tired but geesh, I am tired all time ~X( . I could sleep all day! I have been tested to see if I have a thyroid problem. ect.

The last week has been such a killer for me as far as pain goes too. My legs feel like they are just about to give out :''( .. I called to see if I could get my results for my mri, and they said that I can't get them until the pm doctor reads them. I just want to see what has gotten worse, because I feel so worse :''( .

How do you guys deal with your pain? I never had so much as I have lately, slowly getting worse. I get so annoyed and dissapointed :T . I try my best to keep going, but sometimes all I want to do is lay on the couch to make it go away. The worse is when I feel like my legs wont move, it is scarey.

Gosh, sorry this is so long 8> . I hope that I can get some answers soon, but I have to wait to see pm doctor in the beggining of next month, then I will no longer be seeing him. He is releasing me to a differnt pm doctor because he has tried all that he can do. I also have to wait to see a surgeon. I wish someone could tell me that this would get better :''( .

  • You aren't alone. I still get very tired, even after my surgery. My pain has been reduced drastically, yet i'm still tired most of the time. I still get times where I start feeling sore, I will lay down on the couch and 5 minutes later i'm fast asleep. I can't blame it on the meds anymore because i'm hardly taking anything at all. The weird part? I can be falling asleep while just sitting on the couch watching tv but the moment I lay down in bed im wide awake...and can't fall asleep usually till the wee hours of the morning. How's that for a kick in the pants? lol.

I've taken 2 of the same meds you are taking...tramadol and percocet. The percocet, if I take 2 at one time, knock me straight out. I was taking them right after surgery for a month....I don't think i've slept that much in years lol. The tramadol would make me sleepy enough to fall asleep but if I took it during the day it didn't have that affect.

Another thing to consider....sleep is your body's way of telling you it's time to take a break and heal. Not always easy with little ones around...I know. But still necessary. We tend to heal better when we get enough rest.

I wish you luck with your appointment. I hope they can help get you to feeling better :).
  • yes, I understand the pain and fatigue. I think I have a sleeping sickness as I can suddenly become drowsy and fall asleep and have all kinds of dreams.
The funny thing is that I rarely feel rested after sleeping or if I do, it is very brief, like maybe half hour until I want to rest again... I) jade

  • hi hun,
    im feelin your tiredness!!! I) I) I) I) I) I)
even after i rest i get up, get a cup of coffee, ice for my back take my pain pill which usually perks me up a bit but lately NOT NOT NOT. i could sleep all day to BUT of course i don't and i can't and if i could i would toss and turn anyway as the pain keeps me awake during the day.
my eyes burn, i feel like iv gone through a kick boxing class etc.

even if i try to start my day off perfect as in showering, dressing, picking up here and there i still feel UGHHHHH.
this has gone on for a long time.

i think its normal :? :? :? :? they seem to go hand in hand.
even without meds i feel ehhhhhhhhh :S :S

stress is also a huge contributer to tiredness.
even though we may not feel stress we all live it everyday.

    hang in there hun.
try some calming aremotherapy scents (Bath and body) has some awesome ones that i have used. for stress, sleep, energy,
heat, vitamns, lots of water and short walks in the cool air.
short power naps like 20min. saw that on oprah lol..

    your not alone
  • I too am tired all the time. I) I) I) I am sure it is a combination of the pain and the pain meds. I have never been so tired in my life and also had blood work to check thyroid and other things. Everything's ok. Thank goodness for wireless internet and laptop or else I would totally be out of touch with the world. I usually just sit on the couch with my feet up as I am doing right now. My husband thinks I am just lazy and doesn't understand that I am in constant pain and I heard that having a major surgery as the one I had is a lot of stress on your body and takes awhile to recoup. I wish he would be more understanding. ~X( I just tired out by reading and typing on this site. It takes me hours to read the paper because I find myself dosing off
  • Your body is in pain and its trying to fight that off. That is exhausting! Emotionally and physically. Its like having the flu.....for months!

Hang in there and try to just rest when you can. Take your vitamins like someone suggested because they really help with healing and keeping your body in balance.

    Hope you feel better soon!
