im jen of richmond,i have body pains mostly in the legs n arms for 4 mos.now. my specialist sed its my existing osteoarthritis. apparently its in my lower back now and the pain radiates to my legs n arms.he prescribed my usual celebrex 200 mg and visits to the physiotherapist. i also have another concern, i have an S curve spine. the PT thinks it contributes to the pain.i have yet to ask my doctors about this. 3 yrs ago when i found out about my S curve, they dismissed it as nothing, its not a concern.

  • Have you had an MRI yet? I'm taking lyrica for leg pain. If your Dr. isn't referring you to an Orthopedic surgeon, I would get another Dr. for a second opinion. See you around. Take care. Charry

  • hi and welcome. :H
i agree with charry did you have a MRI yet? is that what showed the S curve??? i would also see a ortho that specilizes in spines or a neuro that does. to see what your options may be. there may be other treatments for your pain your having.
i have osteo throughout my body and OUCH sometimes especially in the cold. for that a heating blanket and hot shower usually easies up the pain for awhile and some great old muscle relaxers like right now 8} 8} i awoke at 2:30am as its in the teens and it helped. going up soon. i feel like i just drank a few glasses of holiday cheer =)) =))
i cannot take celebrex but iv heard great things about it for some after it working for ahwhile.

wish i could offer you more advice. but get that checked out. a waist brace may also help keep your spine straight.
    ;) ;)

Terri has some good ideas about checking for a waist brace. =D> good luck in your search for pain relief. Jenny :)
  • jane- I would press the dr for tests to get a current picture of your spine. I don't know if you have had any tests since the X-ray 3 years ago but I would think that more testing is in order, especially with the increased pain in the last 4 months..jade
