Surgery Tomorrrow!!!!!!! I Pampered Myself for Nerves!!!

so over itsso over it Posts: 51

Tomorrow this time my surgery will be completed =D> . As the time was approaching I noticed I was becoming a bundle of nerves so I reasoned with a long, possibly challenging recovery ahead I would pamper myself. So with that said I:

got a manicure & pedicure
got some new glasses (contact lens wearer)
getting my hair done in a style that will last a month so I don't look like Frankenstein's Bride =))

In addition I am going to the dentist in about an hr to make sure all is well in the teeth department. Right now I am pretty calm but sore due to all the running around so I am going to lay down until its time to go to the dentist.

I want to thank all of you for your support and encouraging thoughts. It has really helped me to remain positive. I do plan on asking for some meds before they wheel me into surgery because I know my nerves will reach its highest tomorrow and I will probably cry like a big baby :''( .

I will miss chatting with you guys but as soon as I'm able I will!

Wishing you the best on your surgery.
After surgery, follow all rules and limitations that your doctor has identified.
We look forward to hearing from you (but do not rush it)

  • I hope your surgery goes well and wish you a speedy recovery! You have a great attitude and sound very strong. That will escort your through this much faster. Please let us know how things go okay! God bless!
  • on your surgery and recovery. You will do so well you will wonder why you waited. I also thought I would be freaked out that morning before surgery and was planning on letting them know I wanted something for the anxiety but I was amazingly calm. I couldn't believe it, I was totally ready and calm. My sister was crying when it was my time to get wheeled to surgery and I as the calm one! Whatever you need, ask for it. Take it easy, and get some rest.
  • I am not far behind you, mine is Monday. I think I'll take your suggestion & do some pampering too.

May the Lord give you peace tomorrow, a smooth operation & speedy recovery.
