Flu for Christmas Week

:))) Hi everyone:

I wasn't sure what category to put this one in. I came down with a bad flu two days ago. Fortunately it was not stomach flu. Aching all over, fever got up to 103, even some symptoms that would suggest urinary tract infection. I went to Urgent Care and I was cleared of that possibility.

This is the night before Christmas and my temp has gone from 100.9 to 103 down to 102, jumping around a bit. I hope its over by morning. What it has done is made it difficult for me to take my morphine and vicodin and other meds (diabetic, hypertension, etc), cuz I find taking pills repulsive when I'm sick like that. I at least took my morphine and this morning resumed the rest.

Add to all this one week ago we had a wind/snow storm with sustained winds of 50 to 70 mph and we lost power for 24 hours. We nearly froze to death! This next Spring we are going to get a Standby Generator that powers our whole house and automatically kicks in when power is lost.

I don't know how much snow we've had in the past week, 2 to 3 feet I am guessing. Finally Friday on its supposed to go back to rain and higher temps.
