Greetings! New to Spine-Health forums, Old Pro at back pain. Here is a quick run-down of my back history: L5-S1 fusion in '06 due to degenerative disc. Hardware removal post-fusion due to pedicle screw issues.
Nerve Root decompression surgery in summer '08.
Wonderful case of staph infection post decompression op.

Still have crippling pain in low back, left buttock and left leg. Looking for any tips and hopefully some answers for relief.

  • and welcome to the forum. You will find a lot of support and understanding here from all of our wonderful members. If there is ever anything that I can help you with then please feel free to PM me at anytime and I will always reply as soon as I see that I have a PM. Are you under any kind of a treatment plan at this time...PT , massage therapy , acupuncture , injections? Just wondering. I wish you the best of luck in finding answers to all of your questions. Please keep us posted as you can to how you are doing....take care....Miki
  • Thanks! I am seeing a new neurologist this week, and will hopefully get a new program going. I was doing pretty well until the holiday break, and then suffered a major set-back. I don't know the reason, but I went back to my pain level before the decompression surgery.

Injections/facet blocks have not given any significant relief, hoping to find something that help. I stopped all narcotic meds last September, but am back to the point where I need something to manage the pain.

Looking forward to the support that this site is famous for!
