Surgery in Morning

Hi everybody!

I'm being admitted for surgery at 5:30 am Pacific Time tomorrow morning, April 8th. I am having a 1 to 4 level Laminectomy on my Cervical Spine, as well as bone spurs removed C-3 thru C-7.

An RN called me today and asked a whole lot of questions. I think I was on the phone for an hour with her. I am not allowed to bring anything in with me except my Insurance Card. My wife will bring my bag with my robe, a book and toiletries when she gets off work.

I'll let you all know when I get home and am able how it went. I'm not particularly nervous or worried at the moment. Maybe I will be in the morning. I'll just be happy to have it done.

I'm told I'll be in the hospital 1 to 3 days probably.

Thanks for good thoughts, prayers, however you wish me the best,

Ken GreyEagle

    A little back ground;
    I’m a 48yrs old male, I have: cervical myelopothy; moderate to severe pain everyday of my life for the past 12 years,
    I was diagnosed with: cervical myelopothy, sever stinosis in the neck, and severe D.D.D ,
    At 37 I had to have a lamanectomy from C3 to C7 inclusive, do to herniated discs, affecting my spinal cord. The doctors have made it very clear that there is real nothing left to try, medically. Which means this is it…..
    Presently I can not feel with my hands, no sensation, I have pain from my head to my toes. I have been on every type of pain medication and all stopped working after a while
    Now I take Lyrica and and medical marijuana
    (My advice to the world ,” acceptance, never give up, keep your self occupied . get psychological help, just to put things into prospective. Try to smile)
