Actiq Denied - Off Label Use

I am new to the site and have a urgent situation. After paying for Actiq for the past 3 years Unicare has denied coverage claiming that I am not a cancer patient.

I am appealing the decision but my PM's office burned down this past week and he had the appeal info. The 60 day time limit to appeal expires tomorrow so I'm in a bit of a bind.

I know that some 80% of Actiq scripts are for off lable uses like for back pain. I've been around the block more than once with my back pain and have tried most drugs. The only thing that touches my BT pain is fentanyl.

I would like to be more friendly with my first post but its 2:30am and the deadline looms. All help welcomed.

I must state that I am overwhelmed to find a group of people I share sooooo much with.

Thanks in advance.
