I am almost 7 weeks post-op from corpectomy c5-6 with fusion at c4 thru c7. I was in the hospital over night and dismissed the following morning. the surgery was not TOO bad. I had my moments. MY surgeon kept me well medicated. I was very tired for about a week following surgery and did nothing but sleep. When I left the hospital I had bronchitis on top of dealing with the surgery. I only had to wear a hard collar for 2 weeks but some surgeons do not require one. I returned to work full time this week (desk job) and I am struggling a little bit. If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them. All in all I would say my surgery was a success.
