I was recently diagnosed with flat back syndrome from L-4 to S-1 and may have to have a pedicle subtraction osteotomy procedure. Anyone have this problem? Have surgery?

I have had five back surgeries, and the last one in March of this year.

I am 48 years old and still working.

It causes me back pain, tailbone pain and entire back, neck and headaches. Cannot walk very far, etc.

  • I am not familiar with this but I just wanted to say hello and hopefully you will have some resolution soon. I too have chronic back pain and it does affect our quailty of life. If you do decide to have this surgery I hope that it resolves all of your pain. Do you like your doc? Have you had second opions on this matter?

    All the best,
