Hey everyone :) This seems like a god group of Spineys!

I just wonder how everyone deals with this chronic lower back pain? I have had 2 surgeries in 10 months and I am pretty darn sure I just reherniated a disc 3 days ago (2 weeks post-op)

Oxycodone, demerol and Tramacet don't touch this pain. It's pretty rough, I cannot move unassisted...

I am fit and 24 yrs old!

Has anyone tried acupuncture? Massage therapy?

  • You are very very early in your recovery from recent surgery. Also, you just had a traumatic fall. So, I am not surprised you are having a hard time. Sounds like right now rest is your best treatment option, as well as ice/heat applied to your back may help. What did your doctor recommend? Best of luck on Monday. Keep us posted!

  • Hi Jamie welcome to SH,I'm sorry I can't really tell you anything to help you.I have cervical trouble but I wanted to welcome you.Just take it easy until you see your dr. Peace and Love. Mark
