Laparoscopic Surgery

Hello! I'm looking for information regarding laparoscopic surgery for herniated discs. I have had sciatica for 18 years, having two herniated discs and some arthritis. I've been to four chiropractors. I've not had any surgery, because, frankly, I've heard too many horror stories. But recently I've heard that back surgery can be done as an outpatient procedure, and I've been reading about people who have experienced great results. I would appreciate any input. I realize that I'm going to need an updated MRI, and a complete work-up to determine the extent of my condition, and the possibility that my situation will not be able to be corrected by an outpatient procedure.
Thanks in advance for your input!
Happy Holidays!
