Hello all nice to meet you all.I have many issues going on with my body for starters in fused from S-1-L-4,nerve damage to the S-1 nerve it is destroyed due to scare tissue,so im slowly losing my legs and in pain 24/7.Just found out i have nerve damage from my knee to my foot and have a DR.s visit today to see what can be done if anything. He called it mononeuritis and said the damage is bad so I hope they can do something. But any way nice to meet you all.

  • You might want to talk to your DR about SCS

  • I hope your Dr. appointment went well and he has some ideas to help you. I take Cymbalta 120mg day for the leg pain and epidurals. Keep us posted how you're doing we're here to support you. Take care. Charry

  • Well just got a shot in the ankle boy was that fun.If that doesn't work then he may do another on and if that doesn't work he will cut the tendon to release the pressure on the nerve,I just hope it is not to late as I have permanent nerve damage of the S-1 nerve. He said that is a long recovery if they have to cut the tendon.
  • Hi Jim did the trial for the spinal cord stimulator and was not a good candidate but good thinking.Thanks.
  • The treatment you received for your ankle/foot sounds to me that it is for tarsal tunnel syndrome and not related to your back. Did your physician suggest this was the reason for your mononeuritis?

    Best wishes,

  • you are correct it is tarsal tunnel and the mononeuritis from what I have found is a cause of more then one nerve being damaged and something called the axon being damaged and can lead to me losing the use of my leg and other organ damage.I can remeber the site I found this info but it was interesting reading about what can happen and causes.
  • Well looks like I will need surgery to fix this foot issue and they are saying I have more nerve damage and its not looking good.
