Just joined. I'm 34 y/o mom of 2. Just had anterior/posterior lumbar fusion 4 weeks ago today. No injury, just degenerative (hereditary) stuff I guess. Spondolithesis, 2 ruptured discs and essentially no vertebral stability by the time I had surgery.

  • Welcome to the family here.
You're only 4 weeks post-op, so if you have any comments, problems, or concerns, feel free to post topic and someone will be able to help you out.
Or if you just feel like chatting. Someone's always here.
  • Thanks Jim. Right now I'm still trying to figure out what's normal in recovery process and what's to be expected for here on out. I don't think I was quite prepared for the length of recovery this surgery would have on me. Other than back issues I have no other health issues so this has really thrown me for a loop. It's nice to find a site with so many people going through similar things.

Welcome to spine health. Thanks for joining us. There are many helpful members here who will be glad to share their experiences with you and help in anyway they can. I'm more of a neckie but I'll help if I can. Recoveries are all different but in many ways the same. I think impatience is one thing most of us have in common.

    Again, welcome.
