  • Hi Laura Peters! Merry Christmas! I'm Michael Flinn and I just found this site yesterday. I'm new too. Will be posting that in a bit. I have to find out how to put in a recurring statement at the end of all my posts, which tells what I had done..I'm 3 mos post op, minimally invasive L5-S1 fusion, with 4 pedicle screws and 2 short rods, and a 'basket' in where the L5 disc used to be. I have found out that recovery from this is a long......road! Much more so than my surgeon ever said. I am now in the care of my regular internist. I hope to soon be going back to pain management, where I went for the summer before surgery, having injections. I am at my mom's in a resort area of East TN...we actually had snow last night! I am going back to where I live in northern suburb area of Detroit metro. I was actually an MRI tech! Not sure I will ever be able to do that job again, unless I heal and can get a job at an outpatient place...nice to see you here!
