Hello. I have a concern re : I have a anterior cervical doscectomy with fusion and removal of spurs in NOVEMBER o have been doing well ,prior to my surgery i had electric shock feelings over my shoulder blade they were almost completely gone after surgery then went away all together ,but the past week or so i have been getting them again along with a nagging kink feeling to the right of my neck ! I nay have irritated it i still have another bad disc that needs samething done to it but it had not been causing any neuro pain yet !! not sure what i should do or think !!Any suggestions ?

  • I had an ACDF in June and I irritated mine a couple times over the last year... Just take meds, relax, heat/ice... the usual and STAY CALM! (ITS HARD I KNOW), and just hope for the best. If it keeps up.... Time for another MRI.
    ACDF C4-5 June 23rd, 2011

Another surgery in the near future. I am 26 years old.

Current Meds- Norco 7.5/325, Cymbalta 60mg, Gabapentin, Adderall 20mg
  • Coming up on 2 weeks post surgery. Chief complaint was pain in left shoulder/arm radiating down to hand, with numbness and tingling.

Woke up after surgery and numbness/tingling were gone immediately. Dr. said don't be surprised if it comes back temporarily due to nerves healing after being compressed for almost a year.

First week, it came and went intermittently. Coming up on 2nd week, and it seems to be gone (along with the pain).

Sounds like it may be just that, or to be safe maybe get an MRI.
