Just got home a couple of hours ago. It was a long day. It is much too early to give an educated opinion; but I'm glad I am home. The wound area is a bit more sore than I expected; I'll get over it. I'm "buzzing" while sitting in my chair. Anyone with questions feel free. I go back in to see the Dr. on Thursday.

  • What does the buzzing feel like? Is it similar to a tens unit? How long were you on the table while they worked on you? What kind of unit do you have? Medtronics etc.

Woops - you asked for questions but I think I may be overwhelming you! Feel better soon. I think you (and any of us) are very brave dealing with your pain. We are forging ahead for others with relatively new techniques, medications and approaches to pain. Hang in there!
  • Kathy to help answer some of ur ?'s I will tell u as a person who has had both temp and now perm. The "buzzing" that he is talking about to me is more like a deep muscle massage that coming from inside the nerves and muscle. Like a TENS unit I would not know never had one. As far as timeline for temp it can differ as to how extensive they get mine was cervical with 1 lead and it was like a hour. Now the perm one took like 6 hours cause anesthesia and IV set up and all that. My unit is a St Judes Eon Mini the smallest rechargeable unit available from what I have read.

  • i found that the trail, just like with the pump, was weaker than the real thing. I got relief but when the implanted was done, healing and then turned on i was amazed how much relief i was getting. Good Luck to you on your trail and hope much pain relief.
