6 weeks post plif surgery

Hi all, I'm 6 weeks post plif and up until last week I was doing very well, but then the pain started!!! I was getting up out of bed the correct way when suddenly I had this excrutiating pain in my lower back where the screws etc are. Today has been so bad I have put myself to befall afternoon, I have appointment first thing Monday morning with my surgeon, I just hope and pray its noting too serious that I will need further surgery. Has anybody else had the same sort of pain like muscle spasms maybe? .

  • Hi - just read your post and wondered how it went with the surgeon. I am 8 weeks pst laminectomy, decompression and fusion, and I am now wondering if the sudden very sharp pains I have around the wound site are normal - but it's really hard to know what s normal and what a problem is. Anyhow I, hope it went well.
