Neck pain and nose numbness

Hi there all,
I had an MRI on my lumbar region last month. Have been diagnosed with "para central disc protrusion (at L5-S1) indenting the anterior theca and abutting the traversing left S1 nerve root without causing significant compression..... with mild facet joint Athrosis at this level"

I am concerned that on my initial visit to the GP, I did explain that I also had neck stiffness, pain in my neck radiating down my left arm, left facial tingling and pain in the top of my head like a hollow empty sensation but very painful. All this and yet the GP chose to only scan my lumbar.

Yes my symptoms were worrying...left labial numbness and left leg and foot numbness. However I am now worried that physiotherapy for my back may be worthless if the neck symptoms go undiagnosed.

Since then I have developed a strong numbness and tingling sensation in my nose which radiates up into my head and feels like its affecting my sinuses and the neck pain is still severe.

Can anyone help, explain (some words confusing) or clarify any/all these symptoms for me please?
