I am going to my gyno today for the first time since the surgery and I am going to see her opinion on childbirth after a fusion. My neurosurgeon said that it will be okay to deliver naturally.... we shall see, as he isn't the deciding doctor. ;)

Went to my OB/GYN yesterday and asked her about having kids after my fusion. Although she has retired from delivering babies, she said that she is sure that my fusion will have no impact on my ability to have kids naturally. She said when that time comes, when the surgeon clears me and we are ready, I can discuss that with the OB that will be handling the delivery to ensure that (s)he is aware of my situation and then informing the anesthesiologist where the fusion is located for placement of an epidural if that is what I get! :) All in all, good news.

Now to see the surgeon on Friday (tomorrow) and pray that he is able to shed some light on the pain (sciatic) down my left leg into my foot that I had before surgery AND my migraines!
