cervical decompression with plate

1 mo. post op check c5-c7 with plate.found that the top screw did not back out but the plate moved the screw broke my vertebra
and the top tip of it is in a 20-25 deg. both bottom screws are in place, now the plate is sitting on my esophagus causing me to chock when i eat. sometimes it gets aggravated and causes me to chock. Dr. said fusion appears to be taking best he can see and to see if i will be able to handle the chocking? what about the tip of that bone that is broke? said it will heal???
anyone ever have this problem??
