Shortness of breath following ACDF c6-7

Hello, I've posted a couple topics on here. I'm 22 days post op, ACDF c6-7. I'm 31 years old and was very active before the surgery. I would workout 5 times a week for years. I would run, bike, do insanity, you name it. I feel okay as far as recovery goes. I actually feel like I could do anything most of the time, but I don't. I've been experiencing shortness of breath lately and I'm wondering if anybody else out there has? I'm not used to this, I could run 5 miles and not feel out of breath and it's scaring me. Something as little as walking up 4 stairs can make me feel winded. Is this normal? I have my follow up in 6 days and I'll ask my surgeon but I'm looking for a little insight?
