posterocentral disc protrusion and bony foraminal narrowing

Hi Guys,

I know my issues are trivial compared to others I have read in this forum, but I would be really grateful if someone could explain in laymens terms the results of the CT scan on my neck.

'Small posterorcentral disc protrusion at c5/c6 impinging on the anterior thecal sac which may not cause neural compromise'
'Bony foraminal narrowing bilaterally at c4/c5, this may cause foraminal neural compromise at this level'
'No other apparent foraminal neural compromise. Mild facet joint arthropathy as described'

I have been referred to a specialist, but cant see him for a few weeks. In the meantime I am on pain meds and just wondering what this all means?

What are the possible treatments/options?

Thanks for any help
