Hello everyone! I need your help. I am scheduled to have L4/L5 laminectomy/discetomy a week from Monday. Ofcourse, I am having second thoughts after searching the web. I have had back pain for over 10 years. I have had PT, epidural steroid injections and have lived on pain meds and anti-inflammatories. About 1 year ago, the leg pain started. I have pain and numbness down my left leg traveling into the foot. This has become very debilitating. The injections no longer work and the meds are taking a tole on me. My neurosurgeon states this procedure is non-invasive and will work great for my leg pain. Please help me by sharing your experiences with me. I fear even if this procedure does work, that there will be more procedures to follow. Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences.
