Lower Back Pain

Hello my first post.

Since June 18th of 2012 I've had 6 lower back surgeries. 2 Laminectomy, 1Discectomy, Fusion L4 to S1, that turned into a terrible infection so I walk around for 4 weeks with a pik line. After all of that I still didn't have feeling in my right leg and right foot....not to mention the horrible lower back pain after all the above screw ups. I was referred to a Doctor who was arrogant but you could tell he knew what he was doing. Not to mention all the wonderful feedback from prior patients.

He had me get an MRI and CT and after looking at that the prior fusion was just dangling inside my back. I wasn't attached to anything just floating around. I would tell friends it feels like I have a screw sticking out my back and low and behold there was the hardware just poking me doing nothing. After the surgeon opened me up he said the nerves were severely damaged the fusion was just swinging and flopping around doing nothing. After he removed the hardware and added longer screws and tried his best to get the nerves freed up its now a waiting game.

It's been since August 14th 2014 since the surgery and next week I'm having fluid buildup removed and a shot of steroids we will see what happens. OH one more thing the first surgeon nicked my dura which may be the cause of the fluid buildup so I will update if anyone is interested.

Thanks for reading.
