Hi gang. I'm 6 weeks post surgery . Pain level still enough where medsare necessary . Stopped for 12 hours to see pain level and it was unbearable and too distracting. I'm hoping 3 more weeks and I won't have to take med school anymore . I'm quite active which adds to pain. I'm walking and exercising . A contributing factor for slower healing is twofold. Everyone is different plus I'm very active. Driving a manual transmission and hours in a car prolong healing. I have learned through my experiences (surgeries ) That your body is ready when it's ready. Some people heal quicker and there doesn't have to be a tangible reason. Luckily med school don't give me any I'll effects. Ironically , cold medicine ie,. Dristan, mucinex make me loopy and pain meds don't . I am lucky when it comes to that. Well let me know your experience with this same surgery . How has it been for you. Thanks, rinoguy

  • Watch the amount of injections you are getting. Too much steroid in a short time can cause other concerns, so you really want to talk to your doctors about how many you are getting in a short time.
You still have a bit of a ways to go in your recovery, and things can seem to slow down and even go backwards at times, but then improve when you least expect it.
