I was with my buddy at the gym a month ago, not doing anything to crazy. Did a couple of modifications on lat pull down, 4 sets of 10-15 and then went to the sitting down cable pull. I was pulling towards the top of my chest with my back stabilized and then felt a sharp pinch in the bottom right of my back, so I stopped. I took 5 days off and went to the gym, could feel it very mildly and got through my workout(Sunday), repeated the same thing the next day again only mildly feeling that spot. I wake up monday morning and I could barely bend over, back spasms and everything. Fast forward to now and the spot is still healing but generally feels good, I had an assessment done a chiro specializing in sports medicine, they have ruled out any disc damage due to my full range of motion.
Two weeks after my injury I started getting a progressive numb feeling on my right side to the point where running made my leg more numb and I had an almost itch i could not scratch going down my right side. Fast forward to today and I still have a bit of numbness on my right side that seems to flare up after more movement and calmer when just relaxing. I am so confused, frustrated.... Everyone I speak to including my own doctor are all wondering why I have it in my arm especially which actually can tend to flare up even more than my leg at times. I have been an athlete all my life and this is making it hard to get through shifts at work and do my running/cycling. I see a neurologist in the next week or so, my doctor does not seem to concerned right now.
I would love to hear anything from anybody out there, hoping this site maybe helps me cope a little with all thats going on.
Continue to suffer from alignment issue and myofasical pain in rib cage and pelvic area.
Nerve pain and back pain are more stable these days but still get flare ups.
