My name is Joe, I am 21 years old.
Its has been roughly 7 months of lower back pain before my doctor suggested an MRI which detected a mild disk bulge of my L5/S1 discs.
The pain has been uncomfortable for the past 7 months, even with the recommended physio exercises. There is pain starting from my buttocks all the way down my left leg.
I've read that swimming could make my back better, and I started swimming lessons, learning the breaststroke now. However, I feel that it intensifies the pain. Im assuming that since i'm still learning my form technique isn't good, which causes the pain. I really want to speed up my road to recovery, as I consider myself an active person. Not doing and exercise is killing me.
Any ideas and advice?
