Anyone had a laminectomy and ACDF?

Hi I'm new here and hoping to connect with others with the same conditions as I have. I had a laminectomy at L1 L2 for a spinal cord tumor (ependymoma) 10 years ago and now have to have acdf surgery for herniated discs and degenerative disc disease at 3 levels in my cervical spine. Has anyone else had both surgeries? If so how long did it take to recover? I never completely recovered from the laminectomy. I can walk but sometimes need a cane. I also have fibromyalgia and pseudotumor cerebri and have had 2 strokes. Last year the stroke I had was in my optic chasm and just effected my eyes but it's cleared up now. The other stroke affected my left side which is still weak but better than when it first happened 12 years ago. Has anyone else had any problems like these and if so can you give me any advice? I am scheduled for surgery in May 2015. Also I have a condition called kippel feil syndrome, c1 and c2 are congenitally fused and causes problems with range of motion in my neck.
