360 fusion of the L5-S1?

Hello im Travis from Beeville tx I recently had a l5-s1 fusion april 1st. Before my surgery It hurt to stand up straight and most of the time i walked i leaned forward but now I can stand up straight and walk again! I'm pretty tender from the 360 fusion incisions but I would think that is normal . Hopefully the surgical pain will be gone soon I have been takin hydrocodone and have cut back on them a lot as the pain eases up and mostly hurts in the morning after a long sleep. But it seems to be worth it hopefully I can ride my spin bike I have at home soon. But I walk quite a bit now daily and feel great but am strongly sticking to wearing my Velcro back brace they gave me and it helps remember no bending liftin. Twisting for quite a while ! I'm 27 years old and thought about the shots but if Ou have a herniated disc rehab or shots only post pone this I believe getting a fusion was the best thing for me and glad I went through with it I'll post more when I feel better and I also got all my back staples out today and some in the front. Sorry for the long post ask questions of msg me if
You would like to know more I'm happy to answer any questions I'll try to
Check this often. I just wanted to post how I felt about this and I think I made the right choice it sure beats a herniated disc!

  • Thanks to the both of ya! I just recently quit using my cane as I seem to keep getting better days I'm taking less and less pain pills through out the day sometimes in the morning if I sleep crooked or at night to help me sleep but during the day I'm usually able to handle it just fine! Hopefully the doc will say I'm good to ride my spin bike some and get some other exercise besides walking!
