I am 35 years of age and was diagnosed with disc herniation about 10 years - at a relatively young age of 25. I have been on and off on pain killers and about 3 years back, also took an epidural injection in my spine. That relieved the pain for about 2 years and it has resurfaced again.
I plan to visit the orthopaedic surgeon again who did the epidural 3 years back. I am sure he is going to suggest surgery this time. However, my question is will life become normal after surgery? I have seen the success rate of such surgeries to be 90% which is good.
I just wanted to know if there are any people with a similar case like mine and who have undergone surgery and are leading a pain free life now! Please let me know. Thanks!
