Please help.
I have been diagnosed but do not understand. All the smaller muscles in my neck are in spasm all the time. It's painful. The MRI showed no pinched nerves, so it's not a disc issue. My Dr. prescribed physical therapy. Does anyone know what this is called and how it could have begun?
Thank you in advance for any help.
I'm a single Mom of one amazing daughter and I can't have this affecting by parenting.
I also have had headaches my entire life. :'(

  • Muscle relaxers might help as well as heat or ice. Don't worry. No permanent damage is done. Relax. Is yr baby very heavy? How are you carrying the baby?
  • I find I get relief from ice or heat, and TENS therapy, which are just some of the treatments that a Physical Therapist would use. In your case the physical therapy may help you get through this quicker. I wish you luck with everything.

  • My TENS unit is a god send where spasms are concerned. My PT ordered it for me.

Just because mri showed no pinched nerve does not mean it rules out disc issue. Annular tears can cause same and many times don't show on mri
Do your due dilegence, trust you know your body and question everything if it does not fit. Advocate for yourself and you will be suprised what will be revealed trusting your body and instinct.
