to check with your pharmacist when you get new prescriptions.

I always get a detailed fact sheet about any new medication I am taking.

Plus my pharmacist will always talk to me about any interactions with other medications, prescribed or over the counter.

This is a service that pharmacist provide, take advantage of it. You would be surprised about how many medications do not interact with each other.
