Hi my name is Jason. I just had surgery on 9/2/15 on L5/S1 Microdiscectomy and it's been almost 4 weeks. I'm still feeling instense pain on my left leg. Which I think it's worse than before surgery. I can't even walk for long now and my body is tilted to the left side. When I tried to stretch and do the excersice my pt gave me I would feel a lot of pain and once the pain starts it won't go away unless I lay on my bed for an hour. Is anyone feeling the same way after surgery? And my doc told me to go back to the OR and let him do another surgery on me and see what's going on. He said he tried everything and don't know why I'm still feeling pain. He gave me steroids morphine oxys and muscle relaxers... All that didn't help. The steroids only help when I stay in the hospital for 3 days but once I left the hospital the next day the pain came right back. Please let me know if anyone is feeling the same way because I'm going back to the OR next Thursday which is 10/1/15. I wanna know if I should let my doc do another surgery on me. Thank you!

  • Hello, I just had a total disc replacement 2 days ago and I feel great! My throat hurt the first night , took a couple throat lozenges and the pain went away. Right now my throat feels like I have a large pill stuck in my esophagus., but does not hurt . I was taking Norco for pain and do not need it anymore. I was struggling for 3 months with a large herniated disc on C6-7 and radiculapathy down my right arm and hand. I had a highly experienced Ortho Surgeon that operated on me and I'm feeling really good. My arm strength is starting to come back also.
