Focal Syrinx??? How concerned would you be?

I went today to pick up my MRI results and although I had already received the results from the doctor that ordered them, I wanted to read the radiologist report myself. It mentioned the 2 bulging disks (C4,C5-C6) he had told me about, but it also mentioned a dilation below that which was "probably due to a focal syrinx". Which, from Dr. Google, I found out is a rare collection of CSF that presses on the spinal cord. The thing that bothers me the most is that MY doctor never mentioned it to me. Am I overreacting? Besides asking my doctor about it, would you get a second opinion if you were me?
