2 weeks recovering from acdf

2 weeks post op from a do c4-c5 and I guess I have some questions aside from tough second day in hospital due abnormal swelling I feel great was off pain meds in 5 days. Is it normal to feel this good, all really can complain about is some cramping tight muscle and a few tough nights sleeping. I just expected a worse recovery

Lucky ducky is all I have to say! I'm 3 weeks post-op and still feeling like an utter mess half the days. From what I've seen on here, some people regardless of age just seem to bounce right back and are doing great, and some are still struggling months out.

Fabs that you're feeling awesome--I hope it continues that way, and also the other thing I've seen is that it's normal to have peaks and valleys. I hope you stay on the peaks :)

That is great news.  For me, I found relief from the muscle spasms by stretching (which included doing being creative) and some muscle relaxers.

You may have some ups and downs ahead, but stay positive.  Also don't over do it, which can be easy to do when you feel good, but the next thing is that you won't feel so good.
