Spinal fusion help

Hello I'm 23 I broke my back 11weeks ago my C7 & T9 were burst fractures..
I had a T7-T11 spinal fusion, 2rods, 8pins/screws.
The accident happened in Australia but I'm from the UK so I traveled how after my 6week check up, I was recieving great physio treatment in Australia. They even sent me home with a programme for the few weeks I was home to help me through I've visited my Docs For them to refer me to physio here and an ortho - which is taking forever. So I'm just wondering any advice on self progress anyone has.?
Also, I can't not work I'm bored and need money, but am I pushing my body if I return now.? - this is some thing I know I need the docs to answer but has anyone returned to work this early and found it was okay.?

im a chef - I haven't gone into full chef mode.. No heavy lifting, no long hours just a 3hour shift here and there to keep me busy..
Do you think this is too much.? I am young and was progressing so well, I just feel so stuck without a physio therapist helping me through this and I just want some advice
I'm so depressed, no working, having to end my travels early and not getting the medical help I need are taking a toll it would be nice if someone just told me they knew where I was coming from and could actually give me hands on personal advise

I live in China and professional PT services here are totally unheard of... my suggestion is that you ensure you walk EVERY day anywhere from 30-60 minutes.   It's the best PT you can do to help rebuild your back muscles and you won't get in trouble by "over doing it"... like might be the case at a gym doing other PT or stretching exercises without supervision...and what's more it's totally free. If you feel inclined to do more PT activities prior to seeing your appointed PT specialist there are various other PT and stretching exercises highlighted on this website you might try.  At least do the walking... your body will thank you.
