Microdiscectomy L4-L5

I had a Microdiscectomy three months ago.  I am walking slowly daily.  Unfortunately, I cannot balance myself without a walker.  Has anyone else had this issue after this type of surgery?  I am curious as to whether this is normal, or common to have this issue.

Three months seems like a long time to be using a walker after a microdiscectomy.  Have you discussed this with your doctor?   How far do you walk daily?  Have you tried a cane?
