Initial Discussion Tip

Many new discussions may go for a couple of days without any responses.   Those new members that created those discussions feel as if no one is looking at their information.

I always tell new members to be patient.  People do not always respond to all new discussions, it may take a couple of days.   But what I do notice is the subject line of those new discussions can make a big difference.

Here are some subject lines that will draw attention to your thread
  • I have abc condition and wanted to know what conservative treatment helped you the most?
  • How long did you get relief from your ESI?
  • Are there many pros and cons from have a fusion with artificial disc vs your own?
Here are subject lines you should avoid
  • Hello
  • I  am new
  • I need help
Its just human nature to look at items that seem to have some interest.   Realize that all the members here are either spinal patients themselves or have spouses that are.    So, most folks are familiar with the various terms.   Seeing an subject line that has something they understand, they might quickly go and respond.

It is so good to see how quickly the new people that join want to help others.
