Help in walking again with out pain

8598859 Independence KentuckyPosts: 1
Last year 2015 around this tome while playing golf I started having enough pain in my right leg to cause walking a problem. Thinking it was something that would go away I moved right along. At buy Christmas time I was begging the doctor for a pain pill of some kind and had bought a cane in order to even think about walking and after a few different things were not working I was sent for MRI which showed I had a bad pinched nerve. And then was sent to see a spinal specialist who said because my back for my age (79) was in to good condition to cut on and suggested meds to try and may be phy therp. So after taking a med and a pain pill for a couple months the pain for the most part was controlled but the mussels in my leg hurt so bay I still could not walk with cane or something to hold on to. Which means using a electric cart when shopping.   So a tens unit was suggested. >::>>And I for got to say that I should try very hard no matter what to do my normal things in life as if nothing was wrong. Very hard to do but I did it.<<<<< So I got a tens unit used it on my leg >> mistake caused more pain << long story short I use a tens on my back very close to but not over my spine cord for a hour in the Knead Mode. NOTE my unit runs 15 min so I run it 4 times. The nerve is now  un pinched but now i have a mild case of Arthritis which seems to be the original cause in the first place and not so much the golf game which just brought it on. So Today after I take my meds and use my tens unit in the morning I can walk for some time little to no pain of which depends on what I did yesterday, Remembering that because of not doing a lot of things for a year some mussels can hurt real bad because of not have been using them. And then I stumbled in to a different king of tens type unit you ware on you leg called a QUELL which for me was the complete cure for most of the time now and improving more so each and every day. The quell unit can stay on all day or even at night if needed now it is not for every one but can be tried for 60 days or returned if no help. The Quell runs for and hour and then off and hour over and over and can be controlled from you I phone app you install. Another note even though back on my leg again I always carry my cane because I just seem to always over do things a little because I stay very active taking care of our 4 acres and cutting 14 acres of grass at church each week. I do hope others might try what I have and get some relieve.   Don W.

    Hi 859
When my sciatica was at its worst, I used my TENS unit 24/7. It really helped take the edge off. I highly recommend it.
