Mild bulging disc in cervical spine

I have been having this condition for close to 6months, the bulging disc was revealed in the mri results taken 3months ago. The pain would start at the sides of both neck and extend downwards to the traps muscle. For my right side, its worse as it extends down to the shoulder blades. Since then i been doing physio and accupunture for it. Since then, my condition has been getting mixed results. The pain would subside for a few days to a week then slowly come back again. On certain visits with the doctor, he would prescribe some painkillers/anti-imflammory and muscle relaxants for me. I realised that when i take the medinice, the pain would go off but once i finished it, the pain would come back worse than before which is happening right now. Anyone who have similar issue could care to share your experience? I do not understand how this could hurt so much, even my doctor told me my injury is a small issue, should not affect me much.
