Getting back to sport after microD

Just curious of people's experiences after microDs. Have had 2 MDs the first 2 years ago on l5/s1 and the second l4/l5 on the start of October, to get my 2 bulging discs sorted once and for all. I have a goal next summer of running and playing soccer again and generally not being scared of being fully(ish) active again.
Surgeon says 12 weeks for swimming and 6 months for running all going well, physio said a year, because the hamstrings will pop. I would just like to know of people's experiences as to how long it took them to get back to sport.

I hope next year to leap tall buildings in a single bound!

I do admire your enthusiastic goals - Keep in mind - each surgery - each surgeon - each disc - and each recovery are unique with many varied outcomes.
