Lidocaine patch

It seems that I am getting some relief from Lidocaine 5% patch now.  My question is just how long can I use them.  I know they are 12 hours on/12 hours off, but can I wear them everyday forever? Oxycontin 10 mg. every 12 hours with Oxycodone 5 for break through every 4 hours.  I requested an updated MRI and my pain management didn't think that was necessary as I am not a good candidate for further surgeries, had failed back surgery syndrome after my fusion in 2015.

    Hello!
That would be a good question for doctor.
I know I am presently on fentanyl patch and my PM doctor, from the beginning, said he would be changing my primary med every year, year and half, to try to prevent me from building up tolerance.
    So I alternate with OxyContin.

I don't know how it works with lidocaine patch. Would you keep us posted with what doctor has to say?
    Thanks!
