William , all what you say is so very true.
Your back is really hurting you, its a flare up, besides the normal conventions of pain relief, how about taking a 5lb sledge hammer and whacking your big finger!   That will make you totally forget about your back pain.

I only wish we could do such a trade off without having new pain,

Note:  My disclaimer.  I never would ask or suggest that a person should use some sort of force and pain to offset what they are currently experiencing.

Ohh! I've got a good one.
Let's break a lower back rib!!
And in an area the pain pump doesn't over.
    Ouch!

William, as you know we for whatever reason always seem to get back to our regular point of life.
Which is much different from others.
You are a strong person, you will overcome!

    William

I have all the faith in the world that you be back to your regular hobble!!
You don't give up or in, life holds too much for you.
You have too many beautiful moments to view through the lens of a camera and share with the world.
As well as your beautiful words.

  • Feeling every chain tonite
Every last one binding me,inside this failing body
I break and break some more and its never enough
    More are wrapping..

    Hydra around my neck
Scars of chains and bloody wreckage of ego and spirit litter the path behind

    And I see pain
    Stalking no longer behind me
    Dark shadows revile..revealed...

    Smiles the beast...

    And I smile back.
    Chain has become weapon
    Anger no longer deception
    I have a foe
    Revealed and naked before me

    Victim no longer
    I..I!  smile back

For I have turned inward and found strength for the outward

And pain has shrank before me
    Bow down at my feet...
You will not take me today.

    Keep fighting Spiney

Victory goes to those that fight
    Mentally or physically
Pain go away, I will do something else but think of you
I will think of my other Spiney friends
I will sit here on my porch and listen to the bull frogs calling for rain
And Tom turkey calling for a mate
Always scanning the woods for the next animal to appear
But his name is not pain
