HELP I can't sleep 3 weeks after ACDF

I'm in so much pain when I lay flat and tonight I placed pillows like a wedge and I am not able to find the right position. I started walking a couple of days ago and I am sure I over did it today and am in extreme pain right now. I'm doing my best to keep a positive attitude but the pain is so much worse by the end of the day. Walking helps so much with hardly no pain. It's been 3 weeks now and  I am at my wit's end at this moment. Please someone tell me what to do. I am in a neck brace for 3 more weeks and then a soft one for 2 more weeks. My muscles keep spasming.

It will get better.  You are very, very early in recovery.  This is an extremely invasive and traumatic experience for your whole body.  The spasms are normal--and they drove me crazy, too.  Please call your doctor so they can reassure you and perhaps take some steps to help calm those spasms.  Keep taking pain medication as prescribed. xo

    Hello sehill!
I am curious...what did your surgeon recommend when you explained your symptom?
