My body is a prison of pain at 35

My body is a prison of pain at 35 Two years ago some lunatic hit me at 40 miles an hour in the mall parking lot while I was parked.   I am in agony on a daily basis. This person that hit me ruin my life.
Had an MRI and I have three herniated discs.

My doctors appointments are more like interrogations rather than a doctor doing his job to help this patient feel better. How on earth can you get a doctor to help you? was referred to a pain specialist and he said all he could do his surgery and to get my pain medicine for my primary care doctor and they said they won't do it anymore.   I'm starting to think that surgery is my only option. I don't have insurance and this is all covered up there a personal injury claim. I'm in Houston, is there any specialist that would actually care enough to help?
Also the pain comes and goes it feels almost like a labor contraction of my back. It's like a stabbing in the main disc  that's messed up. Then the paint goes all the way up to my shoulders and so strong that makes me sick to my stomach and I can't even eat. Does anyone else have the same problem where they get rushes of pain and then and it takes their breath away and I can't eat?

Actually Houston is probably one of the ten best places you could be for medical problems.  Their medical district is extensive and have several hospitals ranked near the top in certain specialties.  I have nothing but good to say about Houston doctors , for me the far exceed every other doctor I have seen except at major teaching hospitals.  I suggest that is where you start at a hospital associated with teaching medicine in Houston.  The no insurance could be an issue, several of my doctors have almost done away with claims and WC cases because of the hassle of it to treat patient.  But trust me as I have been all over, Houston is a great place to be treated, it may be time to change doctors.
Do your due dilegence, trust you know your body and question everything if it does not fit. Advocate for yourself and you will be suprised what will be revealed trusting your body and instinct.
