In sad news, Doctor Mooney unexpectedly passed away in October 2009.

Remembering Dr. Mooney
Doctor Mooney was the Medical Director of U.S. Spine and Sport and a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of California at San Diego. He completed an orthopaedic fellowship at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, California and a teaching fellowship at the Orthopaedic Research Lab at the University of Pittsburgh Hospitals.
Dr. Mooney completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery and a rotating internship at the University of Pittsburgh Hospitals. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physician and Surgeons in New York, New York and a B.A. in English from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.
